Michael Beck Successfully Defends Doctoral Thesis

We congratulate Michael Beck on the successful defense of his doctoral dissertation entitled “Optical properties of film cast single and multilayer transparent YAG and spinel ceramics” on February 2, 2022. Mr. Beck carried out his PhD project in our institute under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Roosen.

The examination committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Virtanen (chair), Prof. Dr. Roosen (1^st reviewer), PD Dr. Batentschuk (2^nd reviewer), and Prof. Dr. Bachmann.

Given the quantity and quality of his publications, the thesis was submitted in cumulative form. We congratulate Michael Beck on this success and wish him all the best for his future career!
