Ahmed Gadelmawla successfully defended his doctoral thesis on “Stress Modulated Electromechanical Coupling of Lead-Free Ferroelectrics”. During his research he characterized the macroscopic properties of lead-free ferroelectrics, focusing on the influence of stress in the vicinty of phase boundaries. This work was done in collaboration with the Nagoya Institute of Technology with Prof. Koichi Hayashi. Together with collaborators, he performed numerous synchrottron experiments to investigate the role of A and B-site substitions and defects.

Congratulations, Ahmed on a successful dissertation!
