Journal of the American Ceramic Society Best Paper Award
The article “In situ combined stress- and temperature-dependent Raman spectroscopy of Li-doped (Na,K)NbO3” by Dr. Neamul Khansur and an international team of co-authors from Germany, Japan, and China was recently selected as one of the best papers of 2021 for the Journal of the American Ceramic Society. The selections are made based on recommendations by the editors and reviewers of the journal. This paper presents a novel temperature and stress-dependent Raman spectroscopy method, which was used to investigate the field-induced structural phase transitions in lead-free (Na,K)NbO3. This experimental technique has important applications in the investigation of numerous other functional materials, specially looking at the influence of mechanical fields on their crystal structure and local disorder.
